We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join reputed company, covering Italy and Spain. In this role, you will get hands-on experience applying the latest big data technologies to business use cases with companies whose names you hear and products you use every day. Our ideal candidate is comfortable learning new technologies and can explain their work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will be operating as a Sales Engineer with a background in Data Science. Running your own opportunities (together with the opportunity team) while acting as a sparring partner, supporting your team with any in-depth Data Science challenges or conversations on their opportunities.

- Qualify deals through collaboration with the Account Executive (AE), the Business Development Representative (BDR), and sales management.
- Conduct Discovery meetings and learn from the customer and the BDR about the customer's business requirements and technical environment.

What you'll need to be successful:
- Being based or willing to relocate to Mialn, Italy
- English - fluent; Spanish and Italian - fluent/native
- Strong natural and intellectual curiosity, especially around the application of technology to solve reputed company kinds of problems
- Experience in the data science, analytics, or big data markets is preferred
- 5+ years of experience with predictive modelling and an understanding of relational data structures and SQL
- Programming in Python/R would be a bonus
- Experience working with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience in Analytics/AI or other enterprise software
- Experience in technical pre-sales or other client-facing roles (consulting, etc.)
- Comfortable talking to reputed company levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives, and/or a passion for public speaking
