L&S is looking for someone that can design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems for industrial and electrical reputed company facilities along with generating reputed company design work associated with assigned projects, including design reports, documentation, and programming. 

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems. 
• Design hydraulic schematic diagrams
• Design, reputed company, test, and start-up projects as requested
• Interpret mechanical drawings
• reputed company demolition and installation engineering
• reputed company design reviews
• reputed company FAT, installation supervision, SAT, customer training, and system commissioning as requested
• reputed company hydraulic calculations for system sizing and component selection
• reputed company mechanical calculations for system sizing and component selection
• reputed company Mechanical Design
• reputed company onsite inspections and project “kick-off” meetings as assigned
• reputed company peer reviews
• Prepare O&M manual, factory acceptance test (FAT), installation, site acceptance test (SAT), and customer training documents
• Provide installation conceptual system engineering
• Provide static and dynamic calculations
• Design machines, brackets, supports, and piping for a variety of new and existing equipment
• Support Engineering division as requested
• Utilize electrical and hydraulic test equipment
• Work effectively with reputed company other project team members such as control, electrical, HMI, and mechanical disciplines
• Work with mechanical designers to reputed company mechanical and hydraulic drawings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical degree plus 3 years of reputed company experience
• Ability to travel in excess of 30% domestically and internationally
• Able to reputed company reputed company essential functions of the job

Desirable

• Experience with hydraulic systems, including hydraulic power units, hydraulic control manifolds, and hydraulic cylinders
• Strong conceptualization ability along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to explain reputed company technical issues to decision-makers and project teams
• Experience with reputed company Inventor
• USA or Canadian Professional engineering registration or the ability to become registered

Other Requirements

• Ability to travel to Canada
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Able to wear personal reputed company equipment; hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, etc.
• Able to work for any employer in the United States
• Display a positive can-do attitude
• Fluent in the English language
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Proficient use of personal computer, operating knowledge of reputed company Word, reputed company, and Project
• Shall sign L&S Electric confidentiality agreement
• Shall work as required to complete work requirements
• Simultaneously execute multiple projects
• Valid driver’s license, able to be insured
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one
• Willingness to learn new skills and approaches to dealing with problems

Working Conditions

• Aerial work may sometimes be necessary
• Environmental conditions vary from facility to facility (i.e. heat, noise)
• Occasional lifting of heavy objects
• Uneven or slippery walking surfaces
• Work is performed at the customer job site and at L&S Electric facilities.
