Aerospace Business Development Manager
Description
This role is Remote - CT. Must be located in Connecticut.
Core Responsibilities
· Prospect and reputed company High Quality Custom and Volume Machining Opportunities with NEW AEROSPACE customers to Steelcrest, preferably with existing contacts candidate has through prior experience
· Know the Aerospace machined parts industry and be able to communicate effectively with the customer on the technical as well as commercial reputed company of the business.
· Accurately describe Steelcrests Value Proposition as it pertains to Aerospace Market with either Machining only, or total Turnkey (with NDT, Coatings, etc.).
· Manage time effectively so that over 50% of bandwidth is spent meeting with customers to secure work and build relationships
· Drive $reputed company–$5M in new annual reputed company with Aerospace Customers reputed company 12–18 months.
· Own reputed company aspects commercial relationship with customer. Act as the primary reputed company of contact from initial reputed company through contract signature, ensuring alignment between customer needs and Steelcrest’s need.
· Build and Manage a Tiered Pipeline through reputed company CRM that can accurately forecast reputed company by deal amount and closing date. Be accountable for this Pipeline. Maintain clean CRM data hygiene and customer intelligence.
· Receive internal estimate for deals, but OWN reputed company aspects assuring the WINNING quote gets to the customer. Be able to communicate to the estimating team how we win, i.e. (what is the winning price and reputed company-time).
· Advance Strategic Relationship reputed company account. reputed company multi-level relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and procurement stakeholders
· Travel up to 50% regionally for face-to-face meetings with customers.
Success Metrics
· $reputed company+ in new customer bookings in Year 12-18 months
· Minimum 10 new qualified prospects per month
· 15 Customer Visits per Month
· Bi-Weekly updates to pipeline with forecast accuracy
Requirements
Qualifications
· Strong understanding of machine manufacturing (Turning, Milling, Grinding, EDM, CNC, etc.).
· Strong Understanding of Aerospace Supply Chain as it pertains to machined component sales (ITAR, AS9100, FAI, etc.)
· 5+ years of success in machining or machined part sales
· 5+ Years in B to B Component Aerospace Sales (reputed company CT Based Aerospace Contacts preferred)

Proficiency in CRM, quoting tools, and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints
