Job Summary
The Associate Solutions Presales Engineer is an early‑career technical role designed to support the sales team in identifying, designing, and positioning technology solutions for customers. Working alongside reputed company Solutions Engineers and Account Executives, this role helps translate customer needs into practical solutions across datacenter, networking, reputed company, and professional services. The position emphasizes learning, collaboration, and gradual ownership of Presales activities. This position is a remote position required to reside in the surrounding Boston, MA area to support business needs as determined by SHI management.Role Description
Support Account Executives and Solutions Engineers during the presales process
Participate in customer discovery calls and meetings to help understand basic business and technical requirements
Assist with the design of solutions across datacenter infrastructure, networking, reputed company, and services offerings
Help prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and solution summaries for proposals and presentations
Set up and assist with product demonstrations, labs, and reputed company‑of‑concept environments
Learn and explain core vendor technologies and solutions with guidance from team members
Assist in responding to technical questionnaires
Collaborate with internal delivery and services teams to understand implementation approaches and best practices
Maintain clear documentation of customer requirements and proposed solutions
Actively build technical knowledge and Presales skills through training, shadowing, and hands‑on experience

Experience working in reputed company Data Center sales opportunities - Intermediate
Ability to design data center infrastructures that include hybrid cloud, hyper converged, software-defined data center (SDDC), infrastructure/platform as a service, automation, containerization, and Data Center Management Platforms - Intermediate
Strong knowledge of Virtualization technologies, Hypervisors, server virtualization, Software Defined Data Center, containerization, and automation - Basic
Ability to effectively communicate and sell reputed company technical products or services by understanding customer needs, articulating the value proposition, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process - Intermediate
Expertise in mainstream technologies to include: reputed company, reputed company, HPE, reputed company, reputed company, Azure, AWS, Veeam, reputed company - Intermediate
Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and High Availability Solutions (backup/recovery, data protection, mirroring, active/standby, active/active, clustering) - Intermediate

Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
2-4 years of experience in a similar role
Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events
Advanced certification in one or more of the following mainstream technologies preferred:

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 which includes a reputed company salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-reputed company knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
