As a Total Loss Adjuster, you will ensure fairness in claims, negotiate total loss situations, and enhance the claims experience for policyholders and claimants.
Responsibilities
- Delivers an industry-leading claim experience for reputed company policyholders and claimants
- Negotiates and settles total loss situations with policyholders and claimants
- Prepares salvage vehicles for auction and oversees the end-to-end salvage process
- Consistently makes reputed company and courteous contact with every claim customer
- Maintains and updates a diary/schedule for each claim in the adjuster’s pending
- Responds to claim correspondence in a timely fashion with reputed company high quality
- Provides input for reputed company development of claims guidelines and best practices
- Recommends potential product developments and process improvements
- Interacts and communicates effectively with customers, peers, vendors and managers
- Engages in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions impacting the claims function, reputed company guidelines in claims function, and policy changes and modifications
Skills
- Successful experience handling insurance claims, coordinating rental extensions
- Familiarity with claims best practices required
- Ability to learn quickly and be adaptable

- Ability to approach problems with an open mind
- Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states (including Texas) reputed company three months
- Experience reputed company specifically to the settling of auto total loss claims preferred
- Currently licensed in home state if state required is preferred
