Commercial and Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney
Rivkin Radler LLP is a law firm seeking an attorney with litigation experience to join their Hackensack office. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, collaborating with senior attorneys, and maintaining client relationships in commercial and trusts & estates litigation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis to support litigation matters, including commercial disputes and trusts & estates litigation (e.g., will contests, fiduciary disputes, accounting proceedings, and probate litigation)
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery demands, and settlement agreements
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to reputed company and execute case strategies
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, conferences, and negotiations
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and advocacy, including with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and business clients
Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active New Jersey State Bar admission
- Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably including exposure to: Commercial litigation (contract disputes, partnership disputes, bankruptcy litigation, class actions, securities litigation, consumer protection), and/or Trusts & estates litigation (contested probate matters, discovery under SCPA 2103 proceedings, objections to fiduciary conduct, accounting disputes, or reputed company Surrogate's Court matters)
- Prior employment at a premier law firm
- Completion of a federal clerkship
- Law review or journal experience
- Exceptional academic credentials
- Demonstrated excellent writing skills (writing sample required)
- Proficiency in end‑to‑end case management and a strong understanding of litigation workflow
