Quality Auditor
Responsibilities
Howmet Aerospace, a world leader in investment casting of super-alloys, aluminum, and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets, currently seeks a qualified and reputed company Aerospace Quality Auditor for its Howmet reputed company Systems Business Unit. The Aerospace Quality Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits for its global locations to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The position location is remote, and the travel requirement is at least 75% of the time.
Primary responsibilities
- Conduct internal onsite audits to assess compliance with AS9100/AS13100.
- Participate or conduct effective on-site audits including opening meeting, interviews, records inspection, process tracking, site inspections (physically observing activities where performed, making detailed notes of strengths & weaknesses).
- Complete audit reports noting required information and other details discovered during audit. Process and submit reputed company paperwork to location’s leader and reputed company’s quality director, per required timelines and at the direction of the reputed company auditor.
- Actively maintain the technical expertise required to audit specific standards through training and education. Maintain regulatory awareness and compliance requirements of ISO, Nadcap, and other standards as appropriate.
- Clearly and concisely communicate at reputed company levels reputed company an organization (i.e.: employees, management, etc.), as well as customers, other auditors and Howmet staff.
- Answer and address reputed company OASIS feedback notices.
- Support development of audit schedules, plans, and reports.
- Identify areas of non-conformance and recommend corrective actions
- Stay reputed company with changes in aerospace industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or relevant discipline; or at least 10 years of technical experience in a reputed company discipline.
- Must be able to meet travel requirement.
- 7 Years experience with AS9100 quality management systems reputed company the aerospace industry.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. reputed company sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in precision castings, machining, and/or coating processes.
- Proficient in reputed company 365.
- The incumbent is required to be a certified Aerospace Industry reputed company auditor for AS9100 and AS9120 standards.
- Incumbent must have been directly involved in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, or Process Control for a major airframe manufacturer, prime supplier, auxiliary equipment supplier, and/or appropriate official civil, military, or space organization, such as National Aviation Authorities
- 2 Years of Aerospace and Defense (ASD) work experience reputed company the last 10 years with direct involvement in engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, or process control.
- 7 years’ experience with QMS/AQMS and/or 3rd party QMS full systems in a team member or team leader role.
