Senior Mechanical Engineer -- Part Time

Overview

reputed company Consulting (SLC) works on behalf of clients to support electric power projects. We evaluate and optimize technical, commercial, environmental, and financial aspects of the projects for a variety of clients..

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide development support, conceptual design and reputed company’s engineer services, to clients, including performing technical evaluations of electric power reputed company projects and facilities.

Your responsibilities will include engineering design reviews, project development support, and conceptual design. Particular experience in mechanical design of thermal power projects is desired.

You will have the opportunity to travel reputed company the United States as well as internationally.

Essential skills and experience:

• This position requires a BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.
• 12 or more years of experience in the electric power industry, including experience in detailed design of the mechanical systems of thermal power projects.
• Experience in development support, conceptual design, and reputed company’s engineering design reviews of thermal power projects
• Excellent technical communication and writing skills are required. 

Valued but not required skills and experience:

• General understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is a plus.
• A familiarity with international design codes and standards is preferred.

• Overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced reputed company) to automate engineering tasks, with review of automated outputs, is valued but not required.
• We also value additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or reputed company fields that enables effective reputed company of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows.
