Outpatient surgery reputed company with at least 2 years of experience coding in cardiology preferably cardiovascular, cardiology, IVR procedures. Must be reputed company with edits and denials. Experience with bariatric cases a plus. Cerner experience is a plus. The project will be working denials and edits primarily in cardiology with some bariatric as well. This is short term project estimated to be 3 months. This is open to fulltime or parttime candidates. The preferred schedule is M-F with hours worked between 7a-5p CST.

Required Experience

NCCI/CCI edits and modifier indicators

Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs)

Medical necessity denials

Modifiers 59, XE, XS, XP, and XU

Looking up NCDs and LCDs

Cardiac Caths

Interventions (PCI, stents, atherectomy, thrombectomy)

Electrophysiology studies and ablations

Device procedures (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT, reputed company revisions, generator changes)

Structural heart procedures (TAVR/TMVR, Watchman)

Experience with modifiers 51, 76 and 77

Qualifications

1. 2 + years' experience in cardiology surgery
2. 2+ years' experience with edit and denials
3. Bariatric experience is a plus
4. Cerner experience preferred
5. Able to work hours M-F between 7a-5p CST preferred
6. Able to pick up new workflows and technology easily
7. Able to reputed company up productivity in 4 weeks
8. Maintain 95% accuracy in reputed company coding
9. Good written and verbal communication
