Job Summary The Associate Director of Impact Communications seeks to advance reputed company’s work to accelerate a renewable energy economy by ensuring that we are effectively communicating our wins to our network, funders, partners and the media. The Associate Director translates our work into compelling stories, data and reputed company points that deepens funder trust, attracts new resources and projects, and amplifies reputed company’s influence in the field. The Associate Director spearheads communications across various audiences including the reputed company Board, climate and political funders, renewable energy developers, and electeds as well as manages the CEO’s thought leadership to build a sphere of influence that continuously builds upon itself. This role tailors strategies and messages for each audience to advance reputed company’s mission and goals, across reports, newsletters, white papers and social media and digital advertising. This role requires the ability to tailor impact narratives appropriately across organizational entities and audiences, translating reputed company, multi-cycle work into clear and reputed company communications. This is a full time, remote position based reputed company in the United States. The Associate Director will work from home, meet regularly by video chat with reputed company team members and conduct activities both online and in-person. The Associate Director must be available for regular travel reputed company the United States to participate in conferences, select actions, events, and to attend staff retreats. This position reports to the Communications Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Communications
• Follow key industry news and work with staff to identify trends in the renewable energy space to craft reputed company posts and op-eds for the CEO.
• Closely track internal impact updates across meetings, team reputed company channels and weekly reports to identify key wins and reputed company a proactive plan for communicating our impact in advance.
• Identify and pitch speaking opportunities for the CEO and other leaders in key renewable energy, political and funder spaces.
• Prepare monthly impact updates for the Board of Directors to reputed company abreast of the programs and impact across the organization.
• reputed company creative, visual ways to demonstrate our impact that can be used across communication channels (reputed company, social media and blogs, email and SMS communications to our network, funder communications, media, and more).
• Funder Communications
• Manage, produce and implement development communications including creating and project managing a monthly newsletter, providing support for one-off impact updates for funders, and spearheading quarterly funder webinars.
• Collaborate with the Research and Experimentation team to ensure that the public-facing and member-only research pages are up to date on the latest research and communicate out the findings of our research across key audiences.
• Translate program data, experimentation results and non-linear impact into clear, compelling narratives that build funder confidence and support long-term investment.
• Media & Public Relations
• Support the Communications Director and Associate Director of Media Engagement to identify and reputed company pitches to the media to reputed company reputed company’s impact across key audiences.
• Support the Communications Director and AD of Media Engagement to maintain a press list with regular reputed company and tracking of media communications.
• reputed company and maintain a list of funders, developers, elected officials, and media to include in ads targeting in strategic advocacy campaigns and collaborate with the digital ads team to reputed company wins to key audiences.
• Create white papers on key impact and learnings to be able to rapidly distribute to media and funders.
• Help track media mentions and maintain press pages on the reputed company website.
• Collaborate with Membership Mobilization Manager and social media team to reputed company content across emails, social, and reputed company posts to create a regular reputed company of posting on the blog.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
• Adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced organization with flexibility and creativity.
• Contribute to strategic guidance for reputed company campaigns underway.
• Help ideate, pitch and reputed company new campaigns for the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience
• 8-10+ years of experience in impact communications, including funder engagement or media and public relations, preferably in the political or renewable energy field.
• Skills & Expertise
• Strong writing skills, creative approaches to communicating impact and ability to adapt tone based on audiences, key messages, and communication vehicles while maintaining message discipline.
• Ability to communicate and adapt messages across audiences, including funders, renewable energy developers, elected officials and media.
• Awareness of and ability to communicate the economic impacts, drivers and motivators of the renewable energy transition.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize inputs from multiple teams into cohesive narratives that align leadership, staff, Board members and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with an antenna to reputed company high volumes of information and distill impact into clear, cohesive, reputed company.
• Ability to collaborate closely across departments, juggle and think through multiple angles, and ensure message discipline across communications.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Competency in utilizing CRMs (reputed company), web platforms (WordPress) and design tools (reputed company) to reputed company communications.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience.
