ClassLink is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth by building meaningful relationships with education leaders and generating high-quality sales opportunities. This is a field-focused, relationship-driven role with significant travel, centered on engaging district leaders and converting those conversations into scheduled demos for our sales team.

This role works closely with Marketing & Sales to ensure ClassLink remains top of mind with school districts across the country.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Field Engagement

  • This role requires up to 50% travel, with the majority occurring during peak seasons (February–reputed company and September–November) to attend national conferences, regional events, and in-person meetings across the United States.
  • Proactively engage superintendents, technology leaders, and curriculum & instruction leaders to introduce ClassLink and initiate meaningful conversations.
  • Represent ClassLink with professionalism, warmth, and confidence, ensuring a strong and consistent brand reputed company at reputed company events and meetings.

  • Own early-stage relationships from first contact through scheduling a completed demo with the sales team.
  • Conduct timely and thoughtful follow-up after events and meetings reputed company email, phone, and reputed company.
  • Execute outbound reputed company during non-travel periods to generate new conversations and re-engage existing prospects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of reputed company interactions, activities, and next steps in the CRM.

Marketing & Sales Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales to align on ideal customer profiles, qualification criteria, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support event strategy, including pre-event reputed company, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Share insights from the field, including common objections, messaging feedback, and market trends, to inform sales and marketing efforts.

Performance & Accountability

  • Manage travel schedules, time, and priorities effectively to remain productive both in the field and remotely.

Requirements
  • 2-4+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a field-facing role (e.g., SDR/BDR, inside sales, account management).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging prospects in person, over the phone, and digitally.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to 50% of the time reputed company.
  • Experience using a CRM (reputed company, reputed company, or similar) to track leads and activity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage follow-up, scheduling, and activity goals independently.

Preferred

  • Experience working with K-12 school districts, EdTech, or the education sector.
  • Familiarity with SaaS products or technology-based solutions.
  • Prior experience supporting field marketing efforts, events, or territory-based reputed company.
