Job Category: Hourly | Non-Exempt | Full-Time

Starting Salary: $20-$24 per hour

Job Site: Remote (must reside in Colorado)

Job Summary

The Benefits Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying insurance benefits and eligibility for prospective and reputed company patients. This entry-level role supports the admissions and clinical teams by ensuring accurate benefit information, timely communication, and proper documentation to facilitate access to behavioral health services.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Entry-level role; prior healthcare or insurance experience is a plus but not required.
• Interest in healthcare administration, behavioral health, or reputed company cycle operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and behavioral health benefits with commercial and government payors.
• Document benefit details including coverage, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and authorization requirements.
• Communicate benefit information clearly to admissions, clinical staff, and patients as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record or admissions system.
• Identify coverage limitations and escalate reputed company benefit issues to leadership.
• Follow internal workflows and payor-specific guidelines.
• Support admissions and utilization review teams with benefit-reputed company questions.
• Maintain confidentiality and reputed company with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Assist with administrative tasks reputed company to intake and insurance verification.
• Participate in training and ongoing learning reputed company to payors and behavioral health services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Standing, sitting, bending, reaching.
• Must be able to see, hear, talk, read, write, type.
• Exposure to clinical and medical environments.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Driving in reputed company weather conditions.
