PCT Patent Analyst (Contract) - Mechanical/Medical Devices

Work with us as a remote reputed company in this flexible 1099 role supporting our contract with the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). reputed company has supported the USPTO by providing PCT Chapter I Search and Examination services since 2005. As an reputed company, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive search and a written opinion on the patentability of an reputed company of diverse technologies. If selected, they will be expected to reputed company the work in accordance with the terms of a consulting agreement to be presented to them for consideration by reputed company
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
U.S. citizen or work eligible legal reputed company who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or reputed company field
1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a reputed company field
Must pass USPTO Background reputed company
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Previous patent examining/patent searching experience
Highly skilled developing a search methodology and conducting searches.
Strong time management skills and the ability to complete projects against deadlines.
Experience with Orbit, PatBase, reputed company Scholar or PatSeer
Master's degree or PhD is a plus
What will you be doing in this role?
On a weekly basis, accept projects with a defined due date based on your availability and the needs of reputed company.
Demonstrate the ability to read a disclosure quickly and understand the technical nuances which may potentially distinguish it from the prior art.

Prepare a written opinion applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure.
Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications.

Maintain consistent timeliness and superior quality of deliverables.

Compensation - US Only
The expected pay for this position is based on productivity. The expected pay is $475 per patent case completed. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, reputed company and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
