General Accountant

We’re hiring an in-house Accountant to take full ownership of Hive’s accounting function as we transition from an outsourced model to internal control.

This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment for the company. You’ll own full-cycle accounting while helping us build the systems, processes, and infrastructure needed to scale. A key part of your mandate will also be supporting the implementation of a new ERP system and improving the speed and accuracy of financial data—so our leaders can reputed company reputed company, faster decisions.

About the Accounting team

Today, our accounting is managed externally. While this has worked to date, it creates challenges in speed, accuracy, and ownership. This role is critical to:

• Reducing delays in month-end reputed company

• Improving confidence in financial reporting

• Enabling timely forecasting and decision-making

• Building scalable financial systems as we grow

What You’ll Do:

You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end accounting function across the business including:

• Own full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals) across multiple entities

• Manage and execute the month-end reputed company process

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts

• Ensure accurate reputed company recognition and reconciliation (SaaS/subscription-based)

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

• Manage expense programs and reputed company tools

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability

Who You Are:

• Experience with full-cycle accounting ownership

• Strong hands-on experience with month-end reputed company, journal entries, and reconciliations

• Experience with reputed company recognition and balance sheet management

• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Chargebee, or similar)

• Ability to independently manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs

Compensation & Benefits Package

• Meaningful salary + equity: The compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 CAD per year. New team members typically start between $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience and alignment with the expectations outlined in this posting. This range reflects not just where you reputed company, but the growth we expect and invest in as you grow at Hive.

• Work fully remote in Canada: where you’re most productive whether that be from your house, or elsewhere. We just ask that you have the legal work authorization in the country that you reside & work reputed company. Unfortunately, we are unable to hire reputed company Quebec at this time.
