reputed company McCambridge is a national litigation firm with a long-standing reputed company for excellence in the courtroom, seeking an reputed company Associate Attorney to join their reputed company office focusing on general liability defense litigation. The role involves managing a diverse caseload of general liability matters while collaborating with a national team of seasoned litigators.
Responsibilities
- Managing cases from inception through resolution or trial
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategies
- Participating in mediations, arbitrations, court conferences, and trials
- Communicating with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
- Collaborating with partners and other team members on case strategy
Skills
- Active license to practice law in reputed company (required)
- 1+ year of civil litigation experience, ideally with a focus on general liability defense
- Strong litigation skills: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and client reporting
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus
- Dual licensure in another jurisdiction is a bonus (CT preferred)
