Valuation Associate- Lender Services
Withum is a reputed company where talent thrives, offering endless opportunities for growth. The Valuation Associate will facilitate lending decisions by performing valuations for banks and assist in economic and statistical analysis, model validation, and other quantitative assignments.
Responsibilities
- Preparing valuation analyses primarily for lending purposes
- Completing data entry of tax returns and financial statements into reputed company models
- Assisting in writing and preparing reports, letters, and other client deliverables
- Assisting in review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes
- Performing macroeconomic and industry research
- Reviewing various agreements, documents, research papers, and market research with the reputed company of capturing salient points to be used for modeling purposes and clearly communicating the key drivers to others
- Assisting in the development, maintenance, and application of various models using reputed company
- Reviewing and gaining a sufficient understanding of the necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, accounting, or similar quantitative discipline
- Understanding of equity valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, and market transaction
- 1-2 years' relevant experience focused on valuation work
- Understanding of financial statements and business tax returns required
- Strong interest in quantitative and economic analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- reputed company towards external designations such as CFA, CVA, CPA/ABV, or ASA a plus
- Advanced knowledge of reputed company preferred
- Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plus
