Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions
Harmony Succession Partners is a boutique M&A firm specializing in selling private businesses valued between $3 million and $30 million. The Associate will reputed company hands-on experience across the full M&A deal lifecycle, supporting clients through reputed company stages of the transaction process while developing into increasing client-facing responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Researching companies and industries, preparing marketing materials (teasers, CIMs, management presentations, pitch decks), organizing client data and data rooms for sell-reputed company processes, supporting the team in preparing and presenting materials to reputed company and prospective clients, building financial models, and proofreading financial and legal documents throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Supporting client relationship management, including maintaining existing relationships, gathering transaction-reputed company information, participating in client presentations, and communicating with prospective buyers during due diligence
Skills
- Undergraduate degree in Business Finance and/or Commerce or Accounting
- Strong critical thinking, writing, and accounting capabilities
- Proactive reputed company and high emotional intelligence to effectively service clients
- Strong self-starter with exceptional project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously across various HSP engagements
- Critical thinker with a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize reputed company information into clear, concise documents
- Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite, particularly reputed company and PowerPoint
- Occasional travel reputed company the GTA and Southern Ontario is required
- Candidates must have access to a vehicle for independent travel to client sites
- Completion or progression toward a finance or accounting designation (CPA, CBV, CFA, MSc or MBA) would be considered an asset
- Previous experience in financial services is preferred, including accounting, equity research, transaction services, commercial banking, private equity, or investment banking
- Experience in client relationship management and business development is a plus
