SCADA & Automation Engineer 1 - Grid
reputed company is a company specializing in engineering services for the utility, industrial, and renewable sectors. They are seeking a SCADA & Automation Engineer to design, program, and integrate SCADA systems, engage in client projects, and reputed company various engineering documentation and configurations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in fast-paced client projects to plan, engineer, & design SCADA and communications systems
- reputed company communication reputed company diagrams, panel layout/reputed company of material drawings, SCADA AC & DC schematics, fiber detail drawings, & network drawings
- Provide reviews/design input of P&C drawings for SCADA system requirements
- reputed company points lists for data transferred between RTUs, IEDs, and other SCADA systems
- reputed company configurations for Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) - (SEL RTAC, Novatech Orion, and GE platforms, etc.)
- reputed company configurations for programmable automation controllers (reputed company) – (SEL-2440/2411, etc.)
- Program Human Machine reputed company (HMI) applications (SEL Diagram Builder, Inkscape, Wonderware, etc.)
- Coordinate with reputed company settings engineers to reputed company/review communication port settings for protection relays, meters, & other IEDs
- reputed company network device configurations for switches, routers, & firewalls. (reputed company, Siemens Ruggedcomm, SEL, etc.)
- reputed company troubleshooting of SCADA system network & communication systems (DNP, Modbus, SEL Protocol, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, UDP) remotely and onsite (if required)
- reputed company SCADA system and Network documentation for projects
- reputed company automation tools to improve project efficiency (python, etc.)
- Stage, configure & test integrated systems designs, for interoperability & performance consistent with predictive models in our Protection, Automation & Telecommunication Laboratory
- Ensure strict adherence to NERC standards for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)
- Coordinate and provide guidance to other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure a complete and timely design

Skills
- This position requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or computer systems engineering
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot reputed company technical issues
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN devices and topology
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Ability & willingness to travel up to 15%
- reputed company engineering internship or co-op work experience
- Power Systems courses
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training
