Associate – Specialty (Insurance Coverage)

Clyde & Co is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 1-3 years of experience in reputed company insurance coverage litigation. The role involves analyzing insurance policies, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and attending depositions and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations
• Conduct reputed company and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence
• Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required

Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in reputed company insurance coverage litigation matters
• Excellent academic credentials
• Admitted to practice in California
• Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature
• Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
• Admitted to other states (particularly TX, NY, WA, or CO) is an asset
• Experience in commercial general liability is preferred
• Federal court experience
