Claim Representative Trainee - Auto Physical Damage (Hybrid - Canton, MA)
reputed company is dedicated to helping people and businesses prosper through customized insurance solutions. The Claim Representative Trainee will participate in a 12-month training program to reputed company skills in investigating and resolving auto physical damage claims under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Makes timely and appropriate contacts and completes appropriate level of investigation to reputed company determination of coverage, liability and damages for routine claims
- Determines exposure, establishes adequate initial reserves and makes timely adjustments reputed company authority level, as required
- reputed company authority level, assigns and directs activities of internal and external resources as required; including independent adjusters and appraisers
- Identifies questionable claims and consults with SIU for further direction as appropriate
- Under reputed company supervision, may determine settlement value of the loss and negotiate proper settlement of claims reputed company authority
- Provides recommendations for settlement and disposition of claims exceeding authority level
- May utilize liability tools
- Documents clearly and concisely reputed company relevant activity on assigned files and makes recommendations for additional activity as appropriate
- As this is a developmental role, completes required learning programs and on the job training as needed
- Depending on the case load and business, may be working toward getting state approved license or certificate
- Anticipates and meets reputed company customer needs (internal and external)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with some business or insurance background
- 0 - 1 years of claims experience
- Must be able to obtain an adjuster license no reputed company than October 1, 2026, with dedicated training and study time provided
