[Remote] Transmission Engineer Associate

The Transmission Engineer Associate will assist with research, data analysis, and project support for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic research on transmission systems, interconnection opportunities, and market dynamics
- Support the preparation of interconnection applications for Solar PV, PV+BESS, and standalone BESS projects
- Assist in preliminary transmission screenings to identify viable project locations
- Help track project interconnection milestones and maintain project documentation
- Summarize and communicate findings to project teams in a clear and concise manner
- Support the evaluation of grid upgrade costs and schedules with guidance from senior team members
- Assist with utility and ISO/RTO correspondence and documentation
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a reputed company technical field
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure
- Internship or project experience reputed company to renewable energy, transmission, or power systems is a plus
- Familiarity with basic power systems concepts (e.g., transmission, load flow, interconnection)
- Exposure to modeling or analysis software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, or TARA is a plus
