Job title: Assistant Director of the Academic Learning Centers Company: Union County College Job description: Position Information Position Title Assistant Director of the Academic Learning Centers reputed company Cranford Department Academic Learning Center Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct Full Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant Regular General Description The Assistant Director, under the direction of the Director of the Academic Learning Centers, manages the day-to-day operations of the Academic Learning Centers (ALCs); collaborates with professional tutors, peer tutors and faculty to ensure effective delivery of in-person and remote tutorial services; and delivers technical and back-end support for databases, LMS, and software. Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Design innovative tutorial programs to address student needs.
• Expand online resources including tutoring, academic coaching, and workshops.
• Interview, train, supervise, and evaluate peer, paraprofessional, and professional tutors.

• Implement the use of ed tech tools and emerging technologies for reputed company.
• Serve as a liaison for the Virtual reputed company to ensure support of online reputed company.
• Coordinate and monitor the online tutoring program.
• Deliver technical and back-end support for ALC databases, LMS, and software.

• Design and facilitate academic success workshops with ALC staff.
• Manage the delivery of Collaborative Learning Sessions for subject matter areas.
• Coordinate ALC's response to changes in subject matter curriculum.
• Maintain instructional design of ALC Canvas shells.
• Collaborate with Educational Support Coordinators on development of tutor manuals and instructional support materials.
• Coordinate weekly tutor schedules in conjunction with the Director.
• Maintain the ALC's social media and web reputed company.
• Provide comprehensive annual report on tutoring data and other metrics, as requested.
• Attend ALC, division, and college meetings, as requested.
• Tutor in areas of expertise, as needed.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Serve on college-wide committees.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in a higher education discipline.

Experience

• Minimum of five years teaching and/or tutoring experience. Experience must be both

in person and utilizing computer-aided instruction.

• Experience in supervision and evaluation of student workers.
• Experience with and knowledge of the CRLA standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
