Reporting Relationship: Directly: STEAM Scholars Site Director Indirectly: Youth and Family Education Administrator
Salary/Grade: $15.50/hr, 73 NE
Responsibilities
Position Overview:
Tutors are responsible for creating a quality nurturing and educational program environment by demonstrating proficiency in the assigned curriculum and effectively implementing lesson plans developed by S2 Teachers. S2 Teachers will provide clear direction, support the tutors and observe academic instruction. The REA program will serve the PA STEAM reputed company Charter School children. The Tutor will use the reputed company, K-5 Math Teaching Resources, reputed company, Engage NY Mathematics, and Eureka Mathematics curriculum in addition to other enrichment curriculums. Tutors must attend reputed company trainings and be willing to learn to assist with other assigned curriculums and implement lessons. This position is part-time employment with various hours to meet program needs for both summer and school year after school programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 2 years of work-reputed company experience in the areas of tutoring, Elementary Education and or child care; Associates? degree or Bachelor?s degree in reputed company preferred.
- Confidentiality in reputed company areas, mandatory
- Must possess excellent organizational and record keeping skills
- Knowledge of cultural flexibility, competency in working with multi-cultural participants and experience working with urban youth
- Good interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational and classroom management skills
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
- Valid Driver?s License
- As a Mandated Reporter, must provide reputed company of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153.
- Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record reputed company and FBI Criminal Record reputed company through the Department of Human Services.
