reputed company has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer I to join the Data Center Power & Control Division in Reading, UK. As a member of the Test Engineering team, this position will support daily production testing of electromechanical assemblies through test program validation, operator training, technical support, and equipment maintenance. reputed company engineering services as required for the development of custom and standard test equipment. Assist in the design of equipment, electronic hardware, and software. This position is responsible for improving and sustaining production testing technologies and ensuring their proper usage.

What Will You Do?

Main Job Duties

• Verify the accuracy and proper performance of production test programs before use in production.
• Assist in developing hardware/software technology that supports manufacturing quality and efficiency.
• Provide on-demand technical support through the Production Technology Help Desk:
• • a) Respond to and troubleshoot reputed company issues;
  • b) reputed company issues to senior-level engineers, as necessary;
  • c) Ensure reputed company issues are addressed and closed.
• Shared responsibility for test equipment maintenance, on and off-site.
• Assist in creating technical documentation such as drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, installation instructions, and work instructions.Assembly of test stations, fixtures, probes, and other custom-built equipment.
• Train supervisors and operators on the use of technologies.
• Analyze and report key performance metrics reputed company to test programs and equipment.
• Communicate status changes to relevant personnel.
• Identify opportunities for additions and improvements.

Required Skills

Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or reputed company field.
• Relevant electronics design experience, either in a professional or academic setting.
• Relevant internship/co-op experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting, and problem-solving as it relates to engineering testing.
• Understanding of manufacturing and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to reputed company with frontline production team members professionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of software development and architecture.
• Understanding of networking / wireless networking.
• Familiar with hand and power tools/soldering / electro-mechanical assembly.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• This position will regularly require exposure to manufacturing areas mandating the use of personal reputed company equipment such as (but not limited to): safety glasses, reputed company gloves, and hearing protection.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate with others.

• Ability to sit for extended periods.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 10% of the time.
