Senior DevOps Engineer-Public Cloud

About the role and what you'll be doing: This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team working on some of the hottest Public Cloud (GCP/AWS/AZURE) technologies. This team is primarily focused on the deployment, automation and support of mission-critical client solutions in Public Cloud. You will be working on a variety of projects and environments for household names using the latest technology including Public Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, Powershell, reputed company, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Containers etc. Learning, collaborating, training and certification are strongly encouraged, and opportunities to do so will be provided. The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate a genuine desire and passion for Public Cloud, client service and automation.

• Act as the reputed company engineer on large or reputed company client deploy projects
• Act as the reputed company engineer on product engineering projects to further reputed company our service
• Provide Public Cloud subject matter expertise advice and assistance to pre-sales architects
• Installation, configuration, and ongoing management of O/S and Public Cloud services.
• Implementing and maintaining custom client machine images and centralized configuration management to reputed company quick repeatable builds and auto-scaling.
• Maintaining high availability through proactive measures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving reputed company technical issues.
• Ensuring clients & partners are updated on reputed company status of work and issues.

• Ability and willingness to proactively improve ways of working, automation and processes reputed company our continual improvement Kanban board.
• Partake in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 4th line support for reputed company’s Public Cloud clients.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high profile websites or enterprise infrastructure) essential.
• 3+ years’ experience engineering, architecting, or supporting Public Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), with GCP experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent O/S knowledge and experience in Linux or Windows with basic knowledge of the other. MCSE/RHCE or equivalent level of knowledge preferred.
• Excellent O/S knowledge with strong hands‑on experience in Linux (must‑have) and working knowledge of Windows. RHCE/MCSE or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Proven experience implementing and supporting Public Cloud‑based services such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudFront, ElastiCache, WAF, or equivalent services in Azure/GCP.
• Strong automation and scripting capability (must‑have) using one or more of Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Perl, with a DevOps‑first reputed company.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, highly available, and auto‑scaled environments using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience working with or supporting containerized environments such as reputed company, Kubernetes, EKS/reputed company, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong client‑facing skills with outstanding written and verbal communication, able to explain reputed company technical concepts simply to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Holds reputed company Public Cloud Associate and Professional‑level certifications.
• Holds at least one Public Cloud Specialty certification (e.g., reputed company, Networking).
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including week‑long engagements reputed company required.
• A degree in a computing‑reputed company discipline preferred or equivalent experience and demonstrated capability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an ITIL‑reputed company support environment beneficial.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the reputed company pay scale for this role is $112,000 to $163,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
