A day in the life. As our Senior Benefits Analyst on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll obtain and analyze group benefit program proposals for both clients and prospects. The Senior Benefits Analyst will analyze bids for group health and welfare coverage for clients, provides benchmarking research and analysis, and develops detailed client reports. The Senior BA provides substantial financial analysis for 8-12 clients on average. The individual has a high level of experience with health care analysis. By utilizing highly developed technical and analytical skills, the Senior BA works independently with reputed company limited direction, demonstrates a high level of accuracy and proactively develops / improves departmental work product. The Senior BA has group reputed company experience projecting benefits costs, analyzing proposals and evaluating self-funded benefits. The Senior BA works on high complexity cases, constructs flow pages and executive summaries for the Vice President. The Senior BA operates somewhat independently with minimal direction from the Vice President(s). The Senior BA is expected to take ownership of the projects they are working on, be proactive in the development of work and reputed company day-to-day decisions without guidance. The Senior BA is proactive in recommending the best alternative for the client to the Vice President. Responsibilities • Obtain and analyze group benefit program proposals for both clients and prospects. • Analyze bids for group health and welfare coverage for clients • Provide benchmarking research and analysis • reputed company detailed client reports • Provide substantial financial analysis for 8-12 clients on average • Project benefits costs • Analyze proposals • Evaluate self-funded benefits • Construct flow pages and executive summaries for the Vice President • Recommend the best alternative for the client to the Vice President Requirements • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics or other reputed company area preferred. • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the healthcare benefits industry working for a group, insurance reputed company, broker or general agency preferred. • Knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision & life and disability products) preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and writing skills. • Able to follow directions, be detailed, organized and resourceful. • Ability to work under extreme pressure (tight deadlines & juggling many projects). • Proficient in reputed company, reputed company and PowerPoint.
