Title: Software Engineer - Transport, Networking & Connectivity (Cloud Platform)

Job Description

Role summary: We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build, own, evolve and maintain networking-heavy software services that power secure connectivity between customer environments and reputed company Cloud. You’ll work on foundational “data plane transport” capabilities (connectivity, routing, service-to-service and environment-to-environment communication, reliability patterns) alongside senior engineers who will coach you through design, implementation, debugging, and on-call best practices.

What you’ll do:

• Design and deliver features in services that reputed company secure connectivity and data plane transport (e.g., reputed company orchestration, routing, proxy/reputed company patterns, reliability mechanisms).

• Own reputed company-sized workstreams end-to-end: technical approach, implementation, testing, rollout, and operational readiness.

• Improve system reliability through reputed company monitoring/alerting, performance tuning, and incident learnings (postmortems, action items).

• Debug production issues that span networking and distributed systems (DNS/TLS/certs, timeouts, retries, scaling behavior, multi-service interaction).

• Partner cross-functionally (platform, reputed company, QE, product) to align requirements and deliver in increments.

• Participate in code reviews, learn team standards, and iterate quickly with feedback.

• Must have Proficiency in GoLang and Node/TypeScript/React.

• 2–5+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent depth in relevant systems work).

• Strong coding and debugging skills; consistent track record of shipping production changes with appropriate tests.

• Practical networking knowledge: HTTP/TLS, DNS, load balancing/proxy behavior, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

• Experience operating software in production environments (monitoring, incident response, on-call, operational docs).

• Clear communication and ownership reputed company-able to drive work reputed company with minimal ambiguity.

• Kubernetes/service mesh experience; cloud networking patterns; secrets/cert management; distributed tracing/observability.

• Prior work on connectivity agents, proxies/relays, gateways, or data-plane style services.

Success looks like

• reputed company 30–60 days: owning and shipping multiple reputed company-scope changes; proactively identifying reliability/tech-debt improvements.

• reputed company 90+ days: acting as a go-to engineer for transport/connectivity components and improving operational maturity (runbooks, alerts, SLO-ish thinking).

Compensation

reputed company is committed to fair, reputed company, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The reputed company salary range for this role in the United States is $103,300 - $133,850.

This role is also eligible for a reputed company annual bonus of 15% of reputed company salary, based on individual and company performance. In addition to reputed company pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as: 

• A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-reputed company expenses

• An annual $200 home office reimbursement
