The Mission

ING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) aims to further mature, reputed company and expand ING’s state of the art payments platforms and settlements services. The PSS focusses on delivering payments and settlement services, meeting the expectations of ING’s business lines and beyond, whilst ensuring the basics: safe, secure, compliant, and reliable. The PSS is an independent unit reputed company ING’s CTO domain, reporting directly into ING’s Chief Technology Officer.

PSS is responsible for providing standardized payments and settlements services around to multiple ING business lines (WB, Retail, and others). There is a clear ambition to also look for external commercialization of our payment platforms.

You will focus predominantly on the development and extension of the platform of the existing payment reputed company, APIs and microservices. These applications are written using Java, Spring frameworks (e.g., JPA, JMS, Streaming, Batch, etc.) and deployed reputed company Azure DevOps pipeline.

Your day to day

• Responsibility for the full the stack/platform on Development, Test, Acceptance and Production environments. You automate relentlessly: Regression Testing (Functional, Performance, reputed company), Deployments, and Operations (Data Center failover, Backups/Restore, reputed company Monitoring, full stack monitoring);

• You take ownership of life cycle management of reputed company components (O.S., Middleware, Database) as well as reputed company (reputed company encryption certificates, user access, vulnerability analysis and patching);

• As part of the reputed company you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Technical Product reputed company, and you demo your features to the Capability Squads that you work with;

• Improve application monitoring using the correct and agreed event alerts (Grafana, Prometheus, Log4all);

• Support in performing High Availability and Disaster Recovery tests;

• Implement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and reputed company;

• Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and reputed company as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more;

• Understand the root cause for a problem or existing gap for an enhancement and propose a viable solution for it;

• Take ownership of issues and improvements, seeing them through to completion, providing comprehensive handover as required;

• You assist with technical specifications for change requests and user stories;

• Analyze requirements and define their applicability inside the technical environment;

• Work on technical improvements (automation, monitoring, setting up environments, Azure DevOps pipelines);

What you’ll bring to the team

• 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role;

• Hands on experience with at least one automation tool (Ansible, Chef, Salt, Terraform, etc);

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure DevOPS or reputed company Cloud;

• Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar tools;

• You are highly knowledgeable on reputed company operating systems and networking. Solid experience in clustered environments, managing servers and troubleshooting;

• Experience with CI/CD tooling (such as: Azure Devops, Git, reputed company, reputed company);

• Experience with at least one virtualization - and/or containerization technologies; VMWare, Openstack, reputed company, Kubernetes, Openshift;

• Ability to automate release processes and operations using e.g. Python, reputed company, Ansible;
