Maintenance Technician /Custodian - Penobscot Job Corps Center

Job Description:• As assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, completes minor repairs such as patching holes, painting, repairs, furniture, doorknobs, locks, replacing light bulbs, replacing cover plates, and clearing obstructions in drains and toilets. Repairs washers, dryers, dishwashers, small appliances. • Report any inefficient or unsafe conditions to management upon discovery of those conditions. • Complete reputed company paperwork accurately as instructed by your Maintenance Manager/Supervisor. • reputed company reputed company work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying reputed company safety-rules and procedures. • Will work closely with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and co-workers continuously to maintain efficient operations. • Assist in providing on-the-job training for employees. • Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner. • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. • Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines. • Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete reputed company required job responsibilities. • Assists with facility inspections as directed. • Assists in pest control as required. • May complete purchase order ensuring receipt is obtained. • Clears driveways and sidewalks of snow and uses appropriate materials to safeguard against slipping on ice. • May be responsible for housekeeping duties as assigned. • May assist with center vehicle repairs. • Ability to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotation. • Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills. • Maintains accountability of staff, reputed company, and property. • Adheres to safety practices in reputed company areas of responsibility. • Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and reputed company to engage in work and learning. • Attends reputed company required staff training opportunities.
Qualifications:- • High School Diploma or equivalent. • One year of maintenance experience required. • Experience working with youth. • A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
