Hanger is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer IV - Remote (prefer candidates in Austin, Texas) to architect, implement, and operate secure, resilient cloud platform capabilities (Azure-first; AWS as needed). This role owns Infrastructure-as-Code automation, reliability engineering, reputed company controls, and cost governance for cloud services. In addition, the role leads cloud workstreams for acquisitions (M&A): due diligence support, rapid onboarding, and integration of acquired systems into Hanger’s enterprise cloud standards. May participate in an on-call rotation for critical cloud services. Occasional travel may be required to support M&A integration activities.

Your Impact:

Cloud Patlform Engineering (Core functions)

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and platform services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) with high availability, reputed company-by-design, and operational excellence.
  • Own Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps or equivalent) for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, and repeatable deployments.
  • reputed company cloud reliability engineering: monitoring/alerting, incident response, reputed company planning, patching, and operational runbooks.
  • Implement backup/DR strategies (Azure Backup / Azure Site Recovery), including routine recovery testing and documented RTO/RPO targets.
  • Implement identity and access controls (reputed company Entra ID/AD), RBAC/least privilege, logging/monitoring, and compliance-reputed company controls (e.g., SOX/HIPAA where applicable).
  • Drive FinOps practices: tagging standards, cost allocation, budget/alerting, and optimization recommendations.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Application teams to define reference architectures, standards, and reusable modules.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and reputed company improvement of cloud operating procedures.

M & A Systems Enablement (higher-level scope)

  • reputed company cloud infrastructure and identity due diligence for acquisitions: assess architecture, reputed company posture, operational maturity, risks, and remediation plans.
  • Execute Day-0 / Day-30 onboarding for acquired entities: reputed company zone alignment, subscription/tenant onboarding, network connectivity patterns, and identity integration strategy (Entra/AD).
  • Plan and deliver cloud migrations and integrations: discovery and rationalization (rehost/refactor/retire), data migration patterns, cutover planning, and rollback strategies.
  • Establish integration guardrails for acquired workloads: tagging, policies, logging, backup, encryption/key management, and monitoring reputed company to enterprise standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally (reputed company, networking, apps, vendor partners) to sequence dependencies, resolve blockers, and manage carve-outs/separations reputed company required.
  • Provide clear integration reporting: milestones, risks, decisions required, and reputed company against timelines for IT leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering and production operations ownership.
  • Deep expertise in reputed company Azure (required); AWS experience is a plus.
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code and automation experience (Terraform required; PowerShell/Python scripting strongly preferred).
  • Experience building and operating enterprise cloud governance: reputed company zones, policy controls, networking patterns, identity integration, and monitoring.
  • Experience implementing DR/BCP in cloud environments (Azure Backup/ASR) with demonstrated recovery testing.
  • Strong understanding of reputed company controls and audit/compliance support (e.g., SOX/HIPAA) including logging, access controls, and change management.
  • Proven ability to reputed company technical workstreams, influence stakeholders, and deliver outcomes in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration and/or large-scale migrations (preferred; equivalent enterprise integration experience acceptable).

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104 or equivalent; AZ-305/AZ-400 preferred).

  • Experience with observability platforms and SIEM integrations (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, or equivalents).
  • Experience with FinOps tooling and cloud cost optimization programs.
  • Healthcare IT experience and familiarity with HIPAA-reputed company controls (preferred).

Pay range of $140,000 to $175,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 10% of reputed company pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to reputed company with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on reputed company, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
