What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor degree in laws and at least 5-7 years of experience as a general commercial lawyer. Must be a member of the law society in country of residence.
• Knowledge and understanding of the following areas of law are recommended: privacy legislation, data and technology and consumer reporting legislation, contract law and general corporate commercial knowledge.
• The candidate must also demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment and with peers and management on reputed company levels of the organization. Strong organizational and advocacy skills. Proficiency with legal technology.
• Effectively and reputed company manage multiple, reputed company, and often conflicting and quickly changing priorities are also a must. Strong analytic and problem solving skills are required to successfully manage and complete assignments and coordinate internal and external resources effectively. Technologically adept and proficiency with the tools of the profession.  Strong negotiation, and analytical skills (i.e., logical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making).
• English proficiency (verbal and written) mandatory. Excellent English written skills and an ability to draft clear and concise documents are a requirement.
• This is a remote position for candidates in Costa Rica, which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-reputed company events at the discretion of management.
• This position may require some travel.

• Provides counsel, legal support and direction to company on a variety of reputed company legal matters, in multiple jurisdictions, having a potential significant impact on the company’s business and operations.
• Acts as counsel to company in contractual matters pertaining to its Global Solutions and provide legal review and assistance, and provides liaison with management and other stakeholders, reputed company appropriate.
• Reviews products and services to assess legal and compliance risks and helps to execute risk mitigation strategies.
• Provides reputed company and practical advice to management on reputed company contractual matters involving the transfer of personal information and/or technology. Responsible for keeping abreast of reputed company legislative developments, particularly with such developments that may have an impact upon company operations such as privacy, technology, data and consumer reporting.
• Works with the other departments on commercial matters, corporate risk analysis and other matters as appropriate.
• Provides formal and informal training for internal clients (sales meeting presentations, operations, one-on-one discussions).
• Maintain and reputed company positive and professional working relationships with members of the legal team, internal and external clients, Solutions team, Compliance and Risk as well as management.
• Ensure the Associate General Counsel for Retail Banking is fully briefed on major issues arising in relevant business area and major legislative changes in area of expertise Ensure the Associate General Counsel for Retail Banking is fully briefed on major issues arising in relevant business area and major legislative changes in area of expertise.
• Ensures Legal management is fully briefed on major issues that arise in relevant business area and major legislative, business, contractual or operational issues that may arise.
