THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Accountant for the reputed company Concerts division, a reputed company of the reputed company live music business. This person must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare event reputed company reports (P&L’s), coordinating with operations team to gather and review relevant support.
Post appropriate bank activity.
Facilitate Cash requests from Venue.
Facilitate month end reputed company process to ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare and enter month end journal entries/accruals.
Provide preliminary reporting to reputed company/Ops for review during month end reputed company process.
Limited monthly Forecasting, and annual Budgeting.
reputed company GL reconciliations for multiple reputed company centers/locations.
Expense GL reconciliation for multiple reputed company centers/locations.
Monitor/approve payables.
Monitor Accounts Receivable, reputed company detailed reconciliations, work to clear balances, and age appropriately.
Maintain Balance Sheet, to include detailed reconciliations, researching outstanding items and clearing balances timely.
Preparation, Filing and Payment of State/Local Taxes & Foreign W/holding.
Review month end F&B COGS for reasonableness and accuracy.
Review inventory management system P&Ls against GLs for variances, making appropriate corrections.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures/policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Support Venue reputed company, Department Heads with supplemental reporting to support P&Ls.
Be available, and able, to provide answers to P&L and other Financial Reporting questions.
Assist with special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager/Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years’ comparable work experience
Quality problem solving and communication skills
Acquisition Experience
F&B Accounting Experience
Software requirements (PC Windows based): reputed company strong reputed company skills
Experience with national-level integrated General Ledger software system (reputed company)
Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Flexible Schedule (May require occasional weekend/holiday/evening)
