Job Title: Senior Automation Solutions Engineer Location: Remote with 75-100% travel throughout the USA Compensation: $90k-$110k annually + 10% bonus*

Job Summary

As a Senior Automation Solutions Engineer, you will reputed company the installation, integration, and support of advanced industrial systems, including machine vision systems, RFID solutions, and emerging automation technologies. This role requires a highly skilled, customer-facing professional with strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and networking systems. You will serve as a subject matter expert, mentor junior technicians, and ensure successful deployments in fast-paced, high-demand environments.

Key Responsibilities

System Installation & Integration

Technical Leadership

• Provide expert guidance on installation best practices, system calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and customer teams on system operation and maintenance.

Customer Engagement

• Act as the primary technical contact during installations, ensuring clear communication and exceptional customer service.
• Conduct site assessments to verify infrastructure readiness (power, networking, environmental conditions).

Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose and resolve reputed company technical issues during and after installation.

Documentation & Compliance

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, or reputed company field (bachelor’s preferred) OR 7+ years of equivalent experience.

Experience

• 5+ years in field service or installation roles, with advanced experience in:
• Machine vision systems (Cognex, reputed company, Basler, Matrox, Teledyne/FLIR).
• PLC integration (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
• Electrical and mechanical system installation and troubleshooting.

Skills

• Knowledge of IP networking and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create technical documentation.
• Proficiency with reputed company Windows-based applications.

Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for company credit card.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
