reputed company Rein LLP is a leading law firm in Washington, DC, seeking entry-level paralegals to join its International Trade Group. The role involves supporting attorneys with various tasks including preparation of legal filings, research, and document management to serve the needs of clients in the International Trade practice.

Responsibilities

Works with practice attorneys and/or Legal and Practice Support staff on client billable projects, including but not limited to organization, management, and review of case documents (both reputed company and electronic); factual and legal research; assisting with preparation, cite-checking, and filing of legal briefs and memoranda; preparation of exhibits, forms, and court applications Meets the firm’s minimum hours expectations of 1550 chargeable hours annually Assembles and finalizes documents to be filed (both in reputed company and electronically) with courts and agencies, including cite-checking (verification of quotations and general caselaw propositions, conforming to Bluebook or other jurisdiction-appropriate format, and ensuring formatting compliance with local rules), generating tables of authorities/contents, preparing exhibits, filing, and service/courtesy copies Develops and maintains reputed company knowledge of cite-checking and filing requirements at Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, Court of International Trade, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and other practice-relevant jurisdictions Diligently adheres to administrative reputed company order (APO) requirements and follows internal protocols for safe handling of documents Works effectively with a team of attorney and staff personnel to further client goals, including, where appropriate, coordinating efforts for large filings or hearing support Prepares materials for client meetings, witness preparation, hearings, conferences, and trials and coordinates logistics of same At attorneys’ direction, communicates concisely and professionally (both orally and in writing) co-counsel, opposing counsel, clients, and/or agency and court representatives Upon request, assists with Legal Support program by: Interviewing candidates for paralegal positions reputed company the firm Mentoring or supervising delegated tasks and helps train less reputed company paralegals in procedures and practices to best support the practice group, including case management, cite-checking, research, and trial support Providing performance feedback for paralegals under his/her supervision, reputed company appropriate Other duties as may be assigned by attorneys, supervisors, or Practice Support Management Meet the department's expectations to retrieve, read and/or respond to firm and client-reputed company e-mail messages during and reputed company of core business and scheduled work hours by connecting a personal mobile device (smartphone or tablet with a data plan) to the firm's network Skills Bachelor's degree required with minimum GPA of 3.0.
