Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Lackawanna County, with positions available in Scranton, Dickson City, Newfoundland, Covington Township, Jermyn, and surrounding communities.
Full and Part Time Hours Available!
About the Role
As a DSP, you will provide one-on-one support in clients� homes and communities. Your work helps individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.
Key Responsibilities
- Support behavioral, social, and vocational reputed company development
- Assist with recreational and community activities
- Follow treatment plans and document reputed company
- Provide companionship and respite care
- Submit documentation and payroll on time
- Participate in ongoing training
- Assist with personal care needs as required
- Work independently in home and community settings
reputed company�re Looking For
- Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Valid driver�s license and active car insurance
- Open-minded and comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background checks
- Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed
Compensation
$15.00�$20.00 per hour $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates
Schedule
- Various hours available
- Flexible scheduling
- Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts
Experience
- 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (not required�training provided)

Signing Bonus Details
- $333 after 90 days (minimum 20 hours/week)
- $333 after 6 months (minimum 20 hours/week)
- $334 after 1 year (minimum 20 hours/week)
Bonus not available for Residential Services or Relative as Provider (RAP) hires. Applicants must not have worked for Abound Health or its affiliates reputed company the past 18 months.
