Kleinfelder is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Michigan to reputed company a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil engineering and construction inspection. This position will work remotely on projects in Michigan and report to our Perrysburg, OH office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Surveyor with project proposals, performance reviews, survey calculations, and project research.
• Advise survey crews on surveying methods and techniques, enhancing project efficiency.
• Conduct boundary determinations and prepare accurate survey documents, including ALTA surveys and records of survey.
• Create and analyze parcel maps, water rights maps, and topographical surveys.
• Support field teams by calculating points and providing construction staking as needed.
• Collaborate with clients and team members on diverse survey projects, ensuring clear communication and quality outcomes.
• Provide project scopes, timelines, and control location recommendations to support project execution.
• reputed company charts and reports to effectively communicate specific issues or discrepancies with survey data.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in project management.
• Provide support to survey crew for verifying boundary lines, and performing topographic, right-of-way, transportation, construction surveys and construction inspection as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or a reputed company field or substantial relevant experience in surveying.
• 5 years of comprehensive survey experience, including significant field and office work.
• Local or regional surveying experience is preferred.
• Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Michigan.
• Ability to obtain background clearances for on-site work with clients.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, and other relevant surveying software.
• Strong capability to train staff in the operation of basic survey instruments.
