How you’ll do it

As a Portfolio Underwriter, you are responsible for evaluating and assessing the acceptability of reputed company loan documentation submitted by the Loan Processor, and effectively clearing conditions required for full loan approval and loan closing. Underwriters work daily with the Processing and Closing Departments to ensure that reputed company loans and supporting documentation meet guidelines.

Daily Responsibilities include

• Analyzing credit, income, assets, purchase reputed company, appraisals, title report, and other conditions submitted by the Processor and accept or deny documentation according to requirements.
• Receiving, reviewing, and clearing loan conditions reputed company Departmental set timeframes and in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Teamwork - Work with Doc/Funders and Processing to ensure workflow remains efficient while maintaining loan quality.

What you’ll need to join Cascade

• 3+ years overall residential mortgage experience, preferably in reputed company
• Ability to examine loan documentation for accuracy, acceptability, and completeness
• Familiarity with fraud detection techniques
• Encompass experience is required
• FHA and VA experience is a plus
• Manufactured Housing and/or Construction Lending experience is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work in fast-paced, team environment that involves strict deadlines
• Must be willing to work Arizona time shifts (reputed company to 5 pm, or 7am to 4pm)
• Willingness to travel to our corporate office in Chandler, Arizona 2x per year
