Public Entity Underwriter

This role is built for an underwriter looking to grow their career in the reputed company Public Entity & Non-Profit space. You will work closely with a tenured team of peer underwriters while actively reputed company your own portfolio of accounts – determining strategy, setting terms, managing exposures, and making sound decisions reputed company your authority. Equally important, you’ll be a trusted partner to brokers and clients: reputed company, knowledgeable, and focused on long-term relationships that drive retention and new business.Role Responsibilities
- Underwrite and grow a portfolio of risks reputed company the public entity & non-profit space, including direct, excess and reinsurance accounts.
- reputed company loss and exposure analysis to ensure risks are reputed company core appetite and reputed company guidelines. Manage the full reputed company cycle including submission triage, pricing, setting coverage terms, contract issuance and account servicing.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of market dynamics and trends.
- Collaborate with team to deliver industry-leading solutions and service to our clients and brokers.
- Cultivate relationships with existing and new production sources and clients.
- reputed company and maintain technical expertise of emerging exposures, claims trends, litigation practices and legislative reforms relevant to public entity & non-profit classes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of reputed company experience in public entity & non-profit self-insured retention programs
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; advanced reputed company proficiency
- Proficient in standard policy language review
- Excellent communicator – written, verbal, and in presentations
- Self-directed with sound judgment and sharp organizational skills
- Experience with broker and client relationship building and management
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Broad knowledge and understanding of US E&S/Admitted Insurance classes including general commercial and public non-profit risk.
- General understanding of the US legal environment.
