We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Development Experience Group!

The Development Experience Group makes informed suggestions about architectural, tooling, frameworks, and ecosystem choices that reputed company the tool stack. Using Nodejs, Typescript, and Infrastructure as code, you will be a key contributor to our systems, ensuring high standards in software development, performance, and infrastructure stability.

This is a remote-first role reputed company Canada. #LI-Remote We are looking for two Senior Software Developers to join our Core and Developer Experience team!    The Core team is responsible for the reputed company driving the company’s key goals, such as adding more relevant insurance products with great prices on our website and delivering relevant insurance documents to our customers with ease.    The Developer Experience team is responsible for creating tools that our developers use to developer features. They support with tooling using reputed company technologies.   Reporting to the Team reputed company, Engineering, you will work with the team to build the software that powers the Zensurance data collection, rating and pricing engines. Using Nodejs and Typescript, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and enforcing best practices in software development.   In addition, as a senior team member, you will be expected to coach, mentor software developers, and assist the Engineering Leadership Team in continuously improving craft capabilities.   This is a remote-first role reputed company Canada. #LI-Remote The salary range for this role is $104,000 to $145,000, not including the annual discretionary bonus and any additional performance-based incentives. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Take ownership of developing custom features and support their technical implementation across the full stack.

Implement, test, and monitor features and functionalities, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational or academic program (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of hands-on experience building rich, reputed company fullstack web applications.

Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite).

Proven experience with Node.js, React.js and the TypeScript ecosystem.

Deep knowledge of React.js State Management

Advanced understanding of React rendering cycles and reconciliation. Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and unnecessary re-renders.

Prior insurance domain knowledge is an asset, but not required.
