Responsibilities

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) will assist in the business development and professional development plans designed to improve agency reputed company and profitability. The BDS will work as part of a collaborative team to assist with the development and execution of the company’s online and in-person business coaching initiatives throughout the year and work to ensure that tasks are completed on-time and with a high degree of accuracy.  The BDS will also take an active role in the planning and executing of specialty business development educational opportunities online for Nexion Travel Group. The Business Development Specialist reports directly to the Director of Business Development.

• Assist in the development and execution of business development programs and regional, specialty, and online events
• Coordinate, prepare, facilitate, and instruct in collaboration with other staff for educational events that may be virtual, in Irving, TX or across the US
• Coordinate and execute the NEXstrides Business Coaching and Business Success Journeys programs
• Track business coaching metrics according to organizational standards
• Support members by managing a group email in-reputed company, answering questions on the community platform and assisting with escalated issues
• Tasks may include phone calls, small-group live webinars, in-person training on the use of tools, supplier partners, technology, marketing, and any other opportunities that may present themselves.
• Monitor member performance during and beyond the initial on-boarding period and follow through on a consistent basis

Qualifications

• 3+ years travel industry experience, at least 2 years in a travel agency environment (preferred)
• Experience in adult learning theory and curriculum development (preferred)
• Experience in business coaching or a coaching culture reputed company (preferred)  
• Strong organization, prioritization, & time management skills with a keen attention to detail (required)
• Exceptional presentation delivery skills (in-person & online) (required)
• Ability to work effectively with virtual teams, experience with virtual team environment (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills - candidate should be a self-starter and be highly motivated (required)
• Ideal candidate must have a strong sense of urgency, outstanding project and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical skills, proficiency in MS Office (reputed company, Word, Power reputed company skills important) and agency tools preferred
• Some travel may be required
