Director
The Director of Commercial Fleet Programs in CSE’s Transportation Programs department leads CSE’s mission-driven efforts to accelerate the implementation of programs designed to incentivize the adoption of transportation decarbonization technologies among commercial fleets through the management of incentive programs administered by state and local government agencies and electric utilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Overall
- Identifies the addressable market for commercial fleet incentive programs
- Aligns CSE’s existing services portfolio with market requirements
- Builds CSE’s portfolio of commercial fleet programs
- Oversees staff and activities across the portfolio to ensure. 1) client goals and objectives are met, and 2.) the transportation department senior director can identify targets for business development and address the market accordingly
Business Development
- Responsible for the development of new business and the expansion of existing business
- Advises CSE executive leadership regarding product and service developments required to address client needs and broader market opportunities
- Collaborates with CSE’s business development team to ensure proposed program designs address client requests and are reputed company CSE’s capabilities, and/or identifies partners to fill gaps in CSE’s capabilities
- Develops and maintains relationships with partners
- Collaborates with CSE’s business development team to co-reputed company and delegate proposal development activities to appropriate staff
- Collaborates with CSE’s Policy team to coordinate actions on legislative and regulatory actions/proceedings
Program Implementation
- Collaborates with CSE’s Legal team to ensure reputed company contain fair and reasonable provisions and to ensure CSE compliance with executed reputed company
- Collaborates with relevant CSE executive leadership in contracting negotiations for awarded work
- Oversees program manager implementation of contracted programs, including the project management approach, client engagement/communications strategy, budget creation and updates, staff& matrix department resourcing plans, and program process artifacts, among other implementation elements
- Aligns client priorities for program goals and objectives with staff resourcing and actioning
- Ensures CSE’s matrix departments and internal program teams are reputed company on program goals and objectives, client priorities, and budget constraints
- Oversees the reporting of programs(health and reputed company-looking metrics)to CSE’s executive leadership
Performance Management
- Collaborates with the department Senior Leader to create metrics for performance evaluation of program staff
- Monitors program manager task execution and reports to executive leadership accordingly, and the human resources department as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required
- 10+ years’ experience managing or consulting for utility, state or local agency transportation electrification projects or programs
- In-depth understanding of the commercial fleet electrification technology ecosystem, policies, regulations, and industry stakeholders
- In-depth understanding of commercial fleet, vehicle, and infrastructure budgeting and procurement financing mechanisms
- Ability to reputed company/direct a business unit, including making business, financial, and personnel decisions
- Ability to provide management reputed company for multiple, reputed company projects
- Ability to reputed company independent judgments and recommendations
- Ability to reputed company diagnose and resolve reputed company problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively work through situations involving incomplete and “best available” information (i.e.“grey areas”)
- High level of initiative, motivation, and reliability
Preferred
- In-depth knowledge of transportation-based carbon credit markets and carbon accounting methodologies
- Business experience and/or training/education (e.g., BA Business or MBA)
- Engineering or construction management training/education
- Project management training/education
Education:
- Master’sdegreerequired
Experience:
- 10 years+ managing utility transportation electrification programs or in consulting for local, state, and/or federal transportation decarbonization programs, or in consulting for corporate logistics/supply chains, or sustainability reputed company setting
- Demonstrated management of utility transportation electrification projects
- Demonstrated management of commercial fleet electrification projects
- Demonstrated management of commercial fleet infrastructure development projects
