Role Description
Job Description: We are looking for a KSQL / Flink Developer to design, build, and maintain real-time streaming applications using KSQL (ksqlDB) and Apache Flink. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stream processing, event-driven architectures, and building scalable data pipelines for real-time analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time streaming solutions using ksqlDB and Apache Flink
- Create and optimize KSQL streams and tables for event processing and analytics
- Develop Flink jobs for stateful and stateless stream processing
- Integrate Kafka topics with downstream systems using streaming pipelines
- Ensure low-latency, high-throughput, and fault-tolerant streaming applications
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune streaming jobs in production environments
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and application teams
- Implement data quality checks, schema management, and governance standards
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, ksqlDB (KSQL), and Apache Flink
- Proficiency in Java or Scala (Python is a plus)
- Solid understanding of stream processing concepts and event-driven design
- Experience with Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and message formats (Avro, JSON, Protobuf)
- Knowledge of distributed systems and real-time data architectures
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for streaming platforms
Nice-to-have skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for streaming applications
- Familiarity with Spark Streaming or other real-time frameworks
- Understanding of security, access control, and data governance in Kafka ecosystems
