About the Role

We are seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting department with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting tasks, and other duties as assigned.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in the United States.

Responsibilities

Accounting

• Input vendor and client invoices into the accounting system for active projects
• Follow up with Project Managers for invoices needing approvals
• Work with Project Managers to complete Accounts receivable analysis and reconciliation
• Maintain pay reputed company paid schedules
• Maintain Outstanding AP/AR
• Provide support for internal and external audit
• New project set up and personnel assignment in the Unanet accounting system
• Submit accounts receivable invoices using Government pay sites, such as WAWF and IPP

Required Experience and Skills

• Prior experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and/or general accounting tasks
• Prior government contracting experience preferred – understands overhead, G&A, unallowable expenses, cost pools, etc.
• Experience with Unanet preferred
• Experience with WAWF preferred
• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and remain motivated is required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion in a professional manner
• Strong organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, reputed company, and Access) required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude and personal responsibility

• Experience with Paylocity preferred

Education and Training

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or similar field; five (5) years of equivalent combination of training, education and experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of an Associate's degree.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
