Software Defined Networking Engineer (SME) - Mid – Senior

Software Defined Network Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be hired on the Engineering team.

Responsibilities

Administration

• Attending planning sessions to understand business and technical requirements.

Network Administration

• Deploy, configure, and manage SDN controllers and associated network components to build a cohesive, automated, and policy-driven network.

• Drive network automation initiatives using tools like Ansible, Python, and REST APIs to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and ensure consistency.

Qualifications

• 8570 Compliant / CCNA OS cert
• Must be able to obtain TS reputed company clearance.
• Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing the reputed company SD-WAN (Viptela) solution.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, including OMP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, VPN, QoS, and network reputed company.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot reputed company network issues
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) components including certificate authorities, hardware reputed company modules, certificate revocation lists, certificate requests, and certificate installation
• Advanced knowledge of networking and systems administration; and the ability to troubleshoot problems
•   Experience with traffic monitoring tools such as TCPDump, Wireshark as well as analyzing network traffic.
• Knowledge and experience working with Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and associated technologies preferred
• Experience with VXLAN network overlays
• Proven skills in discussing and planning application architecture with cross-functional application, business, technical teams and third-party vendors.
• Should be capable of organizing, tracking and managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Preferred applicants will also be familiar with government information assurance standards including DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, IAVAs management, auditing and accreditation processes.

Preferred

• Experience with the design and architecture of a global SD-WAN infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, optimization, performance, and reputed company while ensuring low latency, high availability, and efficient traffic routing.
•  Experience deploying and configuring reputed company SD-WAN (Viptela) components, including Manager, Controller, Validator, and cEdge routers.
• B.A or B.S. in a degree such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology or 7 years reputed company experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in network engineering, with a minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience with SD-WAN and SD-LAN technologies.
