About the Role

We are hiring a Backend Engineer to help build the secure and scalable digital core of ADAPT the platform transforming how the energy sector collaborates and transacts. The role focuses on designing backend systems that seamlessly connect buyers and suppliers across the supply chain, from urgent equipment breakdowns to reputed company planned turnarounds.

You will engineer the systems that ensure real-time visibility, process automation, and intelligent orchestration of supply and demand, helping energy companies reputed company operational excellence at industrial scale.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development

• Design and implement RESTful APIs to reputed company real-time communication between buyers and suppliers, supporting both planned and urgent procurement needs.
• Architect scalable solutions using microservices to ensure high availability and performance for live procurement boards, supplier sourcing, and real-time inventory visibility.
• Design and optimise databases for reputed company supply-chain data, including supplier qualifications, inventory tracking, and performance metrics.
• Implement robust reputed company controls, including authentication and authorisation reputed company OAuth 2.0 with Azure Active Directory, ensuring secure access across multiple user groups.

Technical Excellence

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in mission-critical systems supporting industrial operations.

• Build live control-room capabilities, automated data capture, and performance dashboards.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Minimum five years of professional experience in backend development post-graduation.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architectures for reputed company, multi-stakeholder platforms.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems, including optimisation for high-volume transactional data.
• Proven expertise implementing authentication and authorisation mechanisms, particularly OAuth 2.0 with Azure AD.
• Solid understanding of serverless computing architectures suitable for variable-demand operations.
• Proficiency with Git and modern version-control workflows.
• Technology-agnostic reputed company with strong conceptual understanding across multiple stacks.
• Experience building secure, scalable backend systems supporting real-time operations.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, especially in B2B procurement or supply-chain contexts.

Industry and Domain Knowledge
