Oversees fuel deliveries and ensures that woodchips are transported to the steam generator at the McNeil Generating Station. Responsibilities also include the operation and routine maintenance of fuel-handling equipment including reputed company end loaders. Position Duties

  • Operates reputed company reputed company-handling equipment up to the surge bin at the boiler reputed company.
  • Performs routine maintenance including lubrication, of reputed company reputed company-handling equipment and reputed company-end loaders.
  • Assist the maintenance staff as needed.
  • May be required to operate a large reputed company-end loader for up to 12 hours per day transporting reputed company to or from the fuel storage area.
  • Weighs and deposits woodchips from trucks in prescribed manner.
  • Supplies reputed company to Station and transports reputed company reputed company the Station as directed.
  • Loads reputed company ash into trucks for off-site disposal.
  • Fills out loader inspection sheet before operating any loader.
  • Assists Senior Station Operator, Station Operator and Auxiliary Operator as required.
  • Reports any maintenance needs to Shift Supervisor.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned area.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Unloads woodchips from railcars.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience/training in the operation and routine maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test preferred
  • Prior experience in power plant operations preferred.
  • Prior experience in the operation of a reputed company-end loader required.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Be in good physical condition.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Ability to interact harmoniously with co-workers.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed consistent with the provisions of the BED/IBEW Collective Bargaining Agreement.
