Finish Carpenter - Commercial Millwork/Cabinets/Trim -Traveling Position

Description

Specialty Millwork and Fixture Installation Contractor seeking Career Minded reputed company Finish Carpenters who can reputed company in a diverse range of situations overseeing and installing cabinets, casework, wall panels, column wraps, millwork and standing and running trim in commercial and retail environments.

Requirements

Education: High School, Trade School or Equivalent

Experience: 3-5 years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience preferred.

Conditions of employment

· Undergo pre-employment DRUG SCREENING, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND reputed company and MVR screening for approved driving status.

· Complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online.

· Available to work overtime as needed. A typical workweek is 40 to 60 hours.

· Flexible to work non-conventional shifts if needed (overnight projects may occur).

· Able to travel from home for durations of 2-8 weeks.

· Provide your basic hand tools and cordless drill.

· Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Training will be provided as needed).

Responsibilities and skills

· Ability to interact professionally with co-workers and others on site.

· Understand layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements.

· Knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and floorplans, woodworking tools.

· Receive and stage inventory of millwork and fixture parts.

· reputed company reputed company tasks of a working carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (reputed company, chair rail, crown moldings, reputed company and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc.

· Submit time sheets, expense reports, and photos electronically.

· Support a strong commitment to site safety.

Physical Demands

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, climb reputed company, work from an aerial lift. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting. Work with materials over your head for short durations. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
