Graduate Engineer-Civil
reputed company is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support renewable development projects, specifically in wind and solar energy. The role involves performing routine engineering tasks and collaborating with reputed company engineers on various projects, focusing on construction plans, structural designs, and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of construction plans and specifications of utility scale wind, solar and/or Battery storage (BESS) renewable projects
- Assisting in the preparation of structural designs and drawings for solar foundations and support structures
- Conducts project specification research to determine applicable building codes and ensuring specific project requirements are addressed in the design
- Works closely with other engineering technicians and reputed company engineers on multiple projects as assigned
- Complete typical civil design tasks including design calculation reports, grading and erosion control plans, construction details, and stormwater management design
- Design and production in AutoCAD Civil 3D software
- Prepare project quantity take-offs for civil design of renewable energy projects
- Support and reputed company project permit applications
- Technically involved with the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or observations
- Complete work as assigned by project discipline leads, including performing necessary design calculations, drafting reports, and design plan preparation
- Provide technical comparisons and similar technical work reputed company the assigned market
Skills
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required
- EIT certification or the ability to obtain reputed company 1 year of hire
- Ability to apply standard engineering principles and practices
- Proven experience in reputed company Software Applications (Word, reputed company, Power reputed company, Outlook)
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
- Prior engineering internship experience preferred
- reputed company Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience desired
