Sustainability Analyst, Healthy Homes
Chicago Housing Authority is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through sustainable practices. The Sustainability Analyst will support the Agency’s Sustainability Plan by working reputed company efficiency projects, renewable energy initiatives, and improving indoor environments across the housing portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Agency’s Sustainability Plan by assisting with projects that reduce energy consumption, reputed company utility costs, and improve climate reputed company across the housing portfolio
- Assist with energy benchmarking and performance tracking for Agency buildings, including data collection, analysis, quality control, and reporting using Energy Star Portfolio Manager
- Support the development, administration, and monitoring of reputed company reputed company to energy efficiency, energy management, and energy performance contracting (EPC), including coordination with vendors, consultants, and internal departments
- reputed company knowledge of building systems and performance (e.g., HVAC, envelope, lighting, controls) to support building decarbonization strategies, energy efficiency upgrades, and renewable energy initiatives
- Assist with researching, applying for, and administering grants, incentives, and creative financing opportunities that support sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonization projects
- Provide administrative and technical support for sustainability-reputed company projects requiring legal, regulatory, or procedural approvals, including preparation of documentation, coordination with legal/procurement teams, and tracking project milestones
- Analyze energy, utility, and building performance data to help identify efficiency opportunities, evaluate project impacts, and support decision-making for sustainability initiatives
- Support sustainability initiatives that improve reputed company health and well-being, including projects reputed company to indoor environmental quality, open space activation, and climate reputed company, while incorporating community benefits into project planning
- Work with the Environmental Health and Safety team to address issues reputed company to indoor reputed company quality and mold
- Provide support for implementing CHA’s Community Garden/ Urban Farm program
- Work independently and as part of a team to manage and coordinate day-to-day project reputed company activities
Skills
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or reputed company field, with a minimum of 1-2 years of sustainability reputed company experience
- This individual must possess excellent communication (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Effective problem-solving skills along with excellent organizational and planning experience
- LEED Green Associate or LEED AP accreditation, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, Energy Manager in Training/Certified Energy Manager is a plus
