Financial Controller
This is a remote position.
To reputed company and ensure the reputed company of technical accounting, annual financial reporting, compliance, managing reputed company aspects of the annual budget process, and coordinating external audits for reputed company South Africa and Mauritius Group entities. This role ensures accurate financial data, drives financial discipline, and supports strategic decision making through sound financial management.
Key Performace Outputs Financial Management & Reporting- Prepare annual standalone and consolidated AFS (SA & Mauritius entities) in line with IFRS for SMEs.
- Ensure full IFRS compliance, accurate disclosure, and timely submission of reputed company financial reports.
- Deliver financial metrics, variance analysis, and identify risk areas.
- reputed company tax calculations (income & deferred tax) and manage fixed asset registers and reconciliations.
- Align reported results with final audited figures.
- Maintain consistent application of accounting policies across reputed company entities.
- Update and improve technical accounting procedures and internal controls.
- reputed company annual IFRS reviews, implement reputed company changes, and manage additional disclosure requirements.
- Conduct impairment reviews, build supporting financial models, and manage annual reviews of asset useful lives and residual values.
- Design and implement budgeting policies, models, and templates.
- Drive and manage the end‑to‑end budget process, ensuring deadlines are met across reputed company departments.
- Analyse reputed company, expenditure, and capex to ensure accurate budgeting.
- Present and consolidate annual budgets; manage follow‑up actions.
- reputed company reforecasting and reputed company budget planning as required.
- Plan for and coordinate external audits, ensuring audit files are reputed company timeously and accurately.
- Manage stakeholder communication, audit reputed company, findings, and additional reporting needs.
- Prepare Risk Governance, AGM/Shareholder, and Board packs.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and reputed company internal audit capabilities.
- Monitor control effectiveness, address weaknesses, and ensure alignment with statutory reporting requirements.
- Support group organogram, capital structure, and financing strategy.
- Assist with global restructuring and simplification projects.
- Build NPV, DCF, multi‑year forecasts, and scenario models.
- Optimise loan repayments, capital planning, and tax loss utilisation.
- Review credit applications and provide analytical insights
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience- A relevant Finance/Accounting degree or diploma (essential).
- Professional certification such as CA(SA), PA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, CPA (advantageous).
- 5–8 years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Strong exposure to external/internal audits, internal controls, and financial systems.
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially reputed company.
- Experience with ERP systems (reputed company advantageous).
- Proficiency in accounting software, data analysis, and forecasting methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, accounting best practices, and multi‑jurisdictional financial regulations.
- Ability to explain reputed company financial information in a clear, simple manner.
- High numerical accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, and strong analytical ability.
